Privacy Policy

Information SauronOS Uses

SauronOS uses data only to provide features that you start in the app:

• Camera frames, ARKit tracking, and depth data when you choose Camera Reconstruction.
• Photos and videos that you choose to capture, import, or add to photogrammetry projects.
• Location and POS metadata from selected photos or from the device while the app is open, used for georeferenced maps and metric reconstruction context.
• App preferences, saved projects, reconstruction settings, and local project history stored on your device.

How Data Is Stored

Captures, project media, settings, scan data, and reconstruction metadata are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export them, save them to Photos, share them, or start a cloud reconstruction.

Reconstruction Cloud Uploads

If you start a cloud reconstruction, SauronOS sends the selected photos, camera frames, and related project metadata through a protected production gateway to the reconstruction service. This is used only to build the reconstruction you requested.

Photos and Videos

SauronOS requests photo library access when you choose to import or review media, and add-only access when you choose to save captures or exports to Photos. The app does not scan your photo library in the background.

Location and Telemetry

SauronOS requests location access while the app is in use to show project context, review photo positions, and attach POS metadata to captures when available. Location data is not used for advertising or tracking.

Tracking and Advertising

SauronOS does not track you across apps or websites, does not sell personal information, and does not use advertising SDKs.

Third-Party Technology

SauronOS uses Apple frameworks and a protected reconstruction cloud for app functionality. The App Store edition does not include advertising SDKs.

Security

Production reconstruction credentials are kept on the server side. The app does not include cloud provider API keys. Use trusted networks for uploads, and avoid importing media you do not have permission to process.

Children

SauronOS is a professional photogrammetry and reconstruction tool. It is not directed to children.

Your Choices

You can manage Camera, Photos, and Location permissions in iOS Settings. You can delete local projects and captures inside the app where deletion controls are provided.

Changes

This policy may be updated when SauronOS features, data use, or platform requirements change. The effective date above reflects the latest version of this policy.
